The PBMTC Executive Committee selects the members of the P-SIG Steering Committee, which prepares the group's educational program. Committee members serve for three years; one-third of the committee rotates off each year, so new members are chosen annually.
We encourage self-nominations or nominations of colleagues. Members are expected to be mid- or senior-career expert physicians in pediatric BMT who have distinguished themselves in clinical or basic research. If you are interested in participating in this group, email Laura Hancock at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Pediatric Special Interest Group (P-SIG) is a strategic alignment of the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium (PBMTC) with ASBMT. The consortium has far-reaching goals aimed at designing and promoting pediatric studies in HCT and cellular therapy, providing educational and scientific opportunities for pediatric transplant practitioners and trainees, and advocating for transplantation and cellular therapy causes.
The specifics of this interaction with ASBMT are a focused effort to create the premier scientific venue for:
- Educational activities geared toward pediatric cell therapy/BMT
- Submission and presentation of the latest research in this area
The goal of the P-SIG is to create an educational forum that includes participation by leading scientists and promotes the most important and timely scientific topics in this field.
Why You Should Join
The Pediatric Special Interest Group coordinates Pediatric Day during the BMT Tandem Meetings. Members of the steering committee suggest and refine topics that will be included during the meeting.
How You Can Join
The P-SIG membership consists of health care professionals focused on caring for children undergoing HCT. This includes:
