Spectrum Health Regional Cancer Center (SHRCC) has a premiere Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program and is committed to the continued growth of the program by the creation of the new annual one-year BMT Fellowship Program.

This fellowship offers a rich clinical and laboratory experience in a wide variety of hematological malignancies and disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Now consisting of three physicians and four advanced practice providers, we perform a large number of autologous and allogeneic blood, marrow and cord transplants. Our BMT program is FACT accredited and part of the NMDP.

A 284,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, the Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion is the hub of the regional cancer network. It was designed to expedite cancer treatment in a compassionate, soothing and healing environment. The new BMT space, which opened in February of 2014, is a spacious, 17,000 square feet clinic, located on the fifth floor. In addition, a beautiful new Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit opened July 2016 in the Lettinga Inpatient Cancer Center, with 18 BMT designated beds.

Spectrum Health has the most comprehensive cancer program in West Michigan. This includes more than 150 board-certified physicians representing 17 oncologic specialties. We are the largest provider of cancer care center in the region treating 3,000+ new patients annually. Our cancer program has numerous accreditations, including The American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer, an accreditation awarded to only percent of all hospitals; one of the 15 Top Health Systems in the Nation by Truven and a " High Performing Cancer Program" in US News and World Report.
