SELECTED COMMENTS

·         The need might at least triple, but the demand may be less if the results of transplant don't continue to improve.

·         The demand may not change, but the rate of success in finding suitable donors will increase as the number of volunteers in the registries increases.

·         Not unless our hospital administration is on board with increased spending for additional personnel and resources.

·         Depends on our hospital's willingness to provide more space and staff.  We are currently functioning close to capacity, both in staff and space.

·         I don't know.  Although we have plans for more physical space, finding adequate numbers of doctors and nurses will be extremely challenging.

·         Ancillary staff issues may be limiting.
