Aug. 1 Deadline for Comment

on Cellular Product Labeling Standards

Standards for uniform labeling of cellular therapy products have been developed and are posted online for public comment through Aug. 1. 

The draft U.S. Industry Consensus Standard for the Uniform Labeling of Cellular Therapy Products using ISBT 128, Version 1.0.0, is the result of collaborative efforts of ASBMT and six other cell therapy organizations:

• American Association of Blood Banks (AABB)
• American Society for Apheresis (ASFA)
• Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)
• International Council for Commonality in Blood Bank Automation (ICCBBA)
• International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT)
• National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP)
