'In Press' Articles Now Appearing
on BBMT Web Site 

A new “Articles in Press” feature has been introduced on the Web site for Biology of Blood and Marrow Transplantation.  The feature puts articles online several weeks before they appear in the print edition of the journal.

“After a final version of a manuscript is accepted for publication and the authors have approved the proofs, the corrected proof of the article is posted on the journal’s Web site,” said Editor-in-Chief Robert Korngold, PhD.

During the period between online publication and print publication, a “digital object identifier” or DOI is assigned to the article.  DOIs are unique numbers that can be searched and cited in the medical literature. 

When the article is assigned to a print issue of the journal, it is moved from the “Articles in Press” section of the Web site to the table of contents of that issue.
