Updated RFI Released
The 2006 version of the ASBMT Standardized Request for Information (RFI) has been released. The RFI is used for submitting essential transplant program data and information to third-party payers when they request it.
Access to Forms
The RFI forms are on the ASBMT Web site where they can be viewed online or downloaded for interactive use. On the home page, click the navigation link for BMT CENTER MANAGEMENT. Then select STANDARDIZED RFI.
Before using the updated forms, be sure to check the READ ME and the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS files.
RFI Widely Accepted
Many of the largest national health plans are using the ASBMT standardized RFI that was introduced in 2003. There is no need to submit the forms to ASBMT.
Comments and recommendations for the next version are always welcome and can be sent to Peggy Appel, vice chair of the ASBMT Committee on Standardization of Outcomes Reporting and RFIs.
